Who are we?

My is name is Nelson, I have been active with the Monroe Institute since March 2022 and regular meditator since 2011.

I first attended the Monroe Institute Gateway Voyage residential program in the United Kingdom, a transformational experience that deepened my connection to expanded states of consciousness and facilitated profound spiritual healing. My continued journey with the Monroe Institute includes completing the Lifeline, Spoon Bending workshop, Energy Medicine, Manifestation and Creation² (MC²), Exploration 27 and Creation Station programs. I am also a member of the Monroe Dolphin Energy Club and the Monroe Professional Division.

During a meditation in the Lifeline program, and through guidance received in my own creation and manifestation practice, I was intuitively called to become a Monroe Outreach Trainer. This calling is now reflected with my deep commitment to helping others explore their consciousness and support Monroe’s mission.

I offer a grounded, open, and welcoming space for participants to explore expanded states of awareness. My facilitation style is shaped by my personal journey, including years of meditation, spiritual study, and coaching in creation and manifestation principles.

My meditation path began in 2009 through an interest in Buddhism, initially practicing breathwork and visualization. I later deepened my practice with focused attention techniques and breathwork. In 2019, I completed training in Transcendental Meditation (™) which elevated my practice significantly. In 2022, a friend recommended the Monroe Institute's flagship Gateway Voyage program, which proved to be a pivotal turning point in my journey. This allows me to support and to help validate others’ experiences through meditation and consciousness explorations.

In addition to my work with Monroe, I am a practicing coach and teacher of advanced creation and manifestation techniques, drawing from hermetic philosophy, alchemical principles, and intuitive development. My area of interest include the role the ego and heart play in the creative and manifestation process, as well as the different levels of consciousness and interaction with energy involved in manifestation.

My wife and I own a real estate investment company and a consultancy that helps small and medium businesses develop conscious, purpose-driven strategies and execution plans.

Professionally, I have worked in the information technology industry since 1997. I began my career as a software engineer and transitioned into internet networking as the web rapidly expanded from 1998. After more than a decade of deep technical work, I shifted into business focused roles in business development, innovation, business strategy and sales. I am currently a Regional Sales Director in Cisco covering Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, leading strategic technology insertion and adoption for recurring business.

I love presenting and speaking at customer and internal events and I am known for my thought leadership in all aspects of business, and trusted advice within senior leadership teams.

From an education point of view, I hold a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering and graduated with honors, earning a cum laude GPA and distinction in my research thesis. I have been a Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert since 2003. I have also completed training in Transcendental Meditation, leadership, advanced intuitive development, consciousness-based practices, self-hypnosis, and creative and manifestation structures.

I am dedicated to:

1) Making consciousness exploration available to as many people as possible

2) Teaching and coaching people to create lives they love, unlocking their full potential

3) Create safe spaces for people explore and share

In my spare time, I enjoy writing, listening to music, going to concerts, cooking, and hosting gatherings for friends and family. I am fluent in English, Spanish, and Italian.

I truly believe that we, humans, are here on earth to create, be of service, and express love, and expanding awareness and consciousness are key to fulfilling our purpose in this life.

My name is Karla and I've been active with the Monroe Institute since 2022 and a regular meditator since December 2019.

My path to meditation started after years of assuming it meant sitting with a blank mind, something I could never quite manage. Transcendental Meditation changed that for me; having a mantra to hold onto finally made it click. In 2022, I had my first Hemi-Sync® experience at a friend's birthday gathering, working with Focus 21, and it opened something I hadn't expected. In March 2023, I completed the Gateway Voyage, which changed everything for me. My continued journey with the Monroe Institute has included Spoon Bending, Lifeline, Energy Bodies, Energy Medicine, Manifestation and Creation² (MC²), Exploration 27, and Guidelines, including programmes taken at the Institute's Virginia campus.

I completed Exploring Consciousness as a participant in 2025, and that experience, along with guidance I received during programmes and meditations, is what led me to train as a Monroe Outreach Trainer myself. I offer participants a warm, structured space to explore expanded states of awareness, shaped by my own journey from total meditation beginner to facilitator, in a safe and welcoming space.

Alongside my Monroe work, I bring years of professional grounding to how I run things. I trained as a criminal lawyer, before moving into UK business and property investment, and later worked as Sales and Program Director. Today, as Co Founder of Deep Journeys and The Manifesting Hub, I look after the operational side of both businesses, from client systems to logistics, so that participants' experience, from first contact to the workshop itself, feels seamless. I have also completed training in creative and manifestation structures, which shapes how I support people through their journey.

Outside of Monroe and the businesses, I love crafts, writing, managing our olive oil estate, Piuma d'Oro, with Nelson, and spending time with our golden labradoodle, Arya. I'm based in the UK and travel often, including regularly to the US for Monroe Institute programs. I'm fluent in English and Spanish, and can hold my own in Italian.

I believe expanding awareness is one of the most practical, grounding things we can do for ourselves, not something reserved for a select few. I'm looking forward to welcoming you into a workshop soon!
